Part of it is economics of the adult diaper business but its not all of it. it is something else. I feel that in a quest to make sure adult diapers arent actually diapers at all, certain design qualities go out the window and many of these are important to a well fitting diaper. All i know is it drives me batty.
Just saw a commercial for pampers cruisers 3 way diapers and a thought occurred to me which has occurred before. Why do the manufacturers of baby diapers put so much money into design, essentially creating a diaper that will fit the baby in the best possible way but yet i buy a diaper that I wear but it could also fit three of me?

I'm with you, Kevin! I have long wondered why mfrs of adult diapers ignored all the great features of baby diapers. Many years ago, before the good diapers like Abena, Molicare, and so on were available, when I had to wear Depend, Attends or even drug store brand X offerings to save money, leaks were a norm....I found I was wearing a diaper to minimize my incon leakage and it was so different to finally get to good diapers that actually prevented leakage.

Good quality diapers really matters. During maternity, I use pads and can understand the difference between good and bad quality pads. The bad quality diapers and pads are not that much capable to prevent leakage. You need to change them after one or two hours.

I just read this post and have often wondered that as well. I have recently needed to wear more often as my incontinence has become worse. Why when the same companies that make baby diapers make adult diapers don't carry over some of the design cues that make baby diapers work well. So far only one seems to have noticed that and made for women a pull-up with standing leg guards. For decent diapers we need to look to Europe or ABDL diapers. Please keep up your blog I am enjoying it. I was worried as well about potty training my daughter when I was starting to wear.

It wasn't the issue I thought it was going to be with my daughter's potty training. She just saw me as an adult who couldn't make it to the potty and had to wear diapers.

I've often wondered this also . I've been seeking a diaper designed like pampers or Luvs for a long time . I'm a very active person and find they move with me a lot better and more comfortable. The diapers from Abuniverse are great if you can get past the designs . The cost is an issue but all most balances out when you don't have to change as frequently . I think if a manufacture would try designing an adult diaper like the everyday babies diaper that I'm almost certain it would sell and be very profitable for them . But why they don't realize this is beyond me . I've thought of writing them and explaining this to them as well as sending them one of the diapers from Abuniverse . See what kind of response it gets .

I use comfydry 24/7 and wellness diapers XXL. I trim just below the tape tabs on wellnes and I trimm just below the tio tape for comfydry. The fit is much more comfortable and what I trim off if not trimmed makes the diaper less comfortable and the fit is not good.

I'm 46 years old and I need what size for the disposable diaper just like babies do.
